South Shore trip; SB posts

Rented a boat on North River yesterday, tried Gurnet area from shore,
Green Harbor jetties. Trolled T & W, threw chunks, plugs, went to multiple
good locations, not a bite. Guys, the SB fishing has really gotten lousy lately.

On another note.....when looking at the board these days, I rarely
see posts about SB fishing any more. It's all about other peripheral
stuff or personal info. I mean, I'm not against that (I'm aware that
this is very clubby board), but it would be nice to read more stuff
about actual SB fishing (without spot burning, of course). I mean,
is anybody catching any SB now, or is everyone fishing for Tuna?

I don't know what to say except that you are correct. I think a lot of what you are looking for has migrated to FaceBook.

I have never seen so many pictures of small bass as I have on FB. It seems every jamoke who catches a 34" bass (never state pounds cause they don't know about pounds) post a picture of it on FB. Internet heroes is all I can think.

No boat, back in the suds.

Slow in the surf Sunday night in SoCo. We fished West and talked to a bunch of guys who were renting a house in Weakapaug. They said there had been some fish on the beach during the day Sat. Most were 15 to 20# with 1, 40#+ mixed in.

No boat, back in the suds.

Screw spot burning, ok? If you have a story to tell, go right ahead. If you have pictures, even better. if it makes you feel better, don't mention where you were, and use camera angles to avoid the inclusion of shorelines. That's it, problem solved. Now let's hear the stories and see the pics. Spot burn.... Gimme a break. And Facebook? I don't even understand that shib. Don't want to. I don't give a rat's ass what people are up to and I don't care to inundate them with my business. Although, I can understand why people use FB to post fishing stuff these days. It seems fishing has become "fashionable", and posting a fish for all to see is gonna get you laid or something, right. Maybe earn you a friend or two? Dumb dumb dumb.

There are some really big fish around in the surf. Just look at the go.tight scores.

Last week after the storm was some of the best fishing I've ever experienced. I haven't been able to get out the last 5 nights, but my buddy has been able to stay on them. Plenty of big bait around, too.

Sorry Gupp. I don't want to stereo type them all but the mental midgets i work with are predominantly racist simpletons. . I do know a lot of really nice C Codders too. I just wish I was around them more than the nits wits I have to associate with on a daily basis. Hope I don't come across as bitter and judgemental. Also good thing they don't read. 😃

The "real" anglers don't have the time or the patience for facebook.
They have more intelligent this to occupy their time and minds!!!

I am a legend in my own mind!

That's kind of how I see it too. You can waste incredible amounts
of time on Facebook. I got turned off on it a few years ago when
my niece kept posting multiple daily updates on my daughters account.
Like, what did you have for dinner Katie? When are you going to bed?
What did you watch on TV tonight? Let us know everything! TMI!!!!

And, I'm glad I got some people interested in posting on fishing again
too. Hope to read more like it in the future - here, not on FB!

Here is some fish porn from a few weeks ago with a little lesson attached.

Low tide, no current, over sand, less than 6 feet of water, small bait. Think darter. Worked real slow along the surface with lots of pauses.

The small bait brings in squid. The squid bring in big bass. The darter acts like a squid. Bingo!
