Shad
The first harbah I went out of today I’m told had a bunch of shad in it...
how do ya catch them?, the small bait , maybe herring coming out of the river/pond system that dumps into this harbah was thick with bait..
Nervous bait!

Fun to catch using small lures: jigs, kastmasters, flies, shad darts. Good bait, too, when big bass are around.

It’s been a while since I have caught them. Use to get em in late October / November on tins. Tried live lining them one night with hopes of supah cows but it didn’t pan out.

Back in the back beach days, used to catch them on trout gear.
Then live line them to their demise.
I miss that life.
