Dorian
This storm looks like it is going to unload on Florida. My daughter is now based out of Miami flying for American and I got that first call with a little nervousness in her voice. Her schedule got changed and she is already at the airport and probably gone on a three or four day trip. So no more prepping for her as storm winds start to arrive tomorrow night. All I know is the airline is not going to be leaving any equipment in that cone area to risk damage, so she will have opportunity to get out of there... As for her new place, it is a tenth floor loft she shares with BF who is also a flight attendant. He gets in on a trip today, so last prep for place is on him. A block from the ocean and has a wall of windows... Her car was going to upper level garage this morning preflight...
She's had good training for the job, so I told her to just make a plan, and have back ups. Mostly ones that will have her not in Florida when this storm arrives. Maybe she can come here after her trip.
Best to any interests in the line of this hurricane....

Cat5 and sitting building, surfing in Florida will be amazing, boating not so much. Track now is just offshore all the way up the cost past the Carolinas and Virginia.

This is a monster storm. Just parked over Abacos for hours. They still haven’t seen the second eye wall yet. Crazy

Looking at long range forecast for next weekend has some significant seas up here... So after four months of hoping to launch for September and October, I have decided to wait until next year... Other people's boats and hope the fall includes some trips around BB for albies and tog.

If the forecast holds a cat1 hurricane will be somewhere off our coast around saturday, looking like the yak will be inside for a while or I'll wait for calmer seas.

That long range played heavy in my decision to haul my pots for the season, even though it's been outstanding... even with a S/E wind the mouth was wild today at the bottom.of the tide, I shipped water over the bow leaving the inlet, this morning ,that hasn't happened in years, bass fishing out on the beach has been outstanding, this week's weather will scatter them for sure.

I heard it is one of the wettest hurricanes we've ever seen from the standpoint of water.

Headed to Block for the week on Saturday, hoping the storm does not affect the ferries. We dealt with tropical swell on the same week there last year and it did not hurt the fishing.

Not sure how you can even think that might be the case....

I'm headed out the 13th for a commando trip, Dorian won't affect us but it looks like there's more in the pipeline!

It’s not going to effect you?
The whole south side will most likely be chocolate milk from bluff clay silt. The surf will be epicly huge and dangerous.
The Oar will be open though.

Don't think it'll clear up after a week? I'm trying to be optimistic here!

Im sorry. I thought you were going to Ben there on Saturday. My prediction for a week out is that you might have some weeds to contend with but the water will be settled.
