Weekend Plans
Red Sox are in the Worl... crap. No. They blew it.
So back to the normal work. Work, work, and cleanup from the storm work.
Everyone get their power back?
So what's up for the weekend?

My neck of the woods got off easy, no storm damage at all... nothing but a few leaves to deal with... time to get ready for the hard water season.
I scraped and primed the ATV trailer last weekend, paint and undercoat this weekend... service the bearings and replace the tires, new ones should be there when I get home ( I have a tire machine and do my own)..I've got 4 HD springs to install on the Can Am.. but I think that will be next week.
I've got 3 batches of beer to bottle Sunday... 1 winter warmer spice ale and an Octoberfest and winter larger...and IF I run out of things to do, I've got some plugs to work on if the pat's game doesn't go our way.

No storm here to speak of, we did get a bit of rain. It’s early muzzleloader season, so of course the half dozen does living on the back 40 have gone into hiding. I’ll find them, one goes about 140.
And some lowlife stole my swamp canoe and decoys, so duck hunting is out till I get another cheap canoe.

Tomorrow it’s recover from two exhausting days of cutting wood, moving wood, digging around exposed roots to clean a spot to cut them with a chain saw, redo edging ripped up by the roots and on and on. Somewhat back to normal but missing two big beautiful trees, the only plus side is with our trees gone and the neighbors below, we now have a killer view of cape cod bay. Sunday hoping to play golf and watch the Patriots. The amount of trees done along this stretch of coast is staggering, you can’t drive 50 yards without seeing another downed tree.

Finished up most of storm clean up today. Two trailer loads to the dump. Leaving the large hanging limb for the tree service to take down and away next week. Will likely spend tomorrow recovering from the past two days of storm clean up... Sunday will be putting gear way, reels off rods, and putting rods in a place they won't get damaged. Lots of organization needed in shop and garage...

Thanks Wayne, any Pheasants seen around these parts now are stocked birds, very few native Pheasant around. Should be a good trip. My son is joining myself and my two hunting buddies. He's 19 and fits right in as one of the guys. Looking forward to the drive out there with these 3 clowns.

Nope, still no power here going into day 4
Giant choke cherry blew over end of my driveway uprooted took out my shop wires and feed to my neighbors house, also eventually blew fuse of the transformer feeding about 6 of us still without power on a pretty main road.
Totally sucks as I was supposed to have had one of the 2 kitchens I am working on painted now, I was all set to begin primer on Wednesday. I am busier than ever so bad timing for me.
Hoping today they can get it fixed but I know they are overwhelmed or at least they were. About 400 in town still out.
I am sure it is worse on the Cape.
I’ll put up some pics later since I can’t upload from phone.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Feeling for you and your neighbors, Bruce.
Got me thinking about these choke cherry trees, as we call them. So I googled, and the species is described as being a shrub or small tree, rarely over 30 ft tall.... Mine is easily double that height and sounds like yours is too. Reminds me of the Norway maple in that they appear fine. Yet are full of rot, gnarly wood, or disease when they come down...

On my sprawling estate …. We have so many choke cherries and black walnut. They make such a mess but it creates a beautiful habitat for the birds and red squirrels.

Spent half the morning casting into ideal fishless conditions at CB.
The bed was so hard to get out of early this morning.
