Picked up bait (macs) early on my way to check out whether I wanted to fish off Nahant or Boston. Pulled out the binoculars at halfway point and did not see the fleet I was expecting, so made direct course back to my home haunts. Good number of slot fish, with one or two just under. Report of bluefish outside the harbor mouth from my good friend who is the assistant harbormaster. He corralled me for intel on my way back to my harbor after getting fuel. We host the Wounded Warriors fishing event next Saturday here in Marblehead.

Since when did I become an "other" .... wow, if I had feelings...I'd be hurt by that comment Mikey I still luv ya bud,
Wayne - there's still plenty of bait from the bridges out to the mouth, small pods of pogies out there too ( small), but no hard-tail action at all, didn't mark anything with the bait either, couple of small striped fish made it boatside, but no bloofish ? Good swell though
2 weeks ago it was lights-out action with the bones family??
Friend told me they're doing great inside the walls down in Southern Rhodee...?? ...could be chatter, but I watched a couple of bloggers this afternoon...could be true

Thursday, we left west bay at dawn. Went to hedge fence, state beach, east chop, west chop, slid down almost to menemsha. Tried trolling for bonito and looking for albies. We did not see a sign of life anywhere. Put a 100 miles on the boat. Found out later we should have gone east about 2 miles from home port. Oh well !
Got back to ramp just as God threw down his furious anger !
