You don't need to. Createx and Envirotex work perfectly together. Unless you need to knock down any bumps or bubbles, you shouldn't need to sand either.

All those bits of leftover SS wire are perfect for tails. Just twist a loop and tie it up. I use small inexpensive split rings to attach them to the plug.
