S-B "Too Cold" Series of events

Yes, it is that time of year when we look at the various S-B Too Cold events. Whether it be Ice Holdeover %#@&$//>> DinkFest with Clammer, Too Friekin Cold to Fish, Plugfest, "Club Meetings" or a couple that we've missed in recent years like Reel Shop and Rod Building 101, it is time to start thinking about a couple winter things to do (even though some fish are still available ATRTRT).

I mention the Rod Building and Reel Repair as those were too things that we used to do but did not get to in the last year or two. I have spoken with Mike from M&Ds and sometime after the holidays, on a time which fits his schedule, we may be able to another Rod Class for X number of people interested. So we can work out the details on that hopefully soon.

We also had a Reel Repair workshop of sorts a few years back where people brought in some reels and worked with others on tuning them up or resurecting them, whichever was needed. I would like to do this one again, figure for less than 20 people anyway. But before we decide who and if, any suggestions on where or any volunteers with enough workspace to host this? I have no desires of evicting Slip from his shop like in years past ...

Thoughts? Suggestions?

I'd be in on the rod building, I was planning on taking a class anyways and would rather do it with someone I know, plus Mike builds sweet rods.

I'd be up for a rod building session.

Heck, I'm like part of the furniture in Mike's shop anyway

How about a swap meet or flea market for unused gear?

And with someone around who can offer some advice on the potential value of old plugs, reels, rods?

I would definitely be interested in a rod building seminar/demo!

TFCTFN and Plugfest

Now that my bro and I know how to get to the TFCTFN location we'll be back. Wouldn't miss Clammer's Ass again for the world. Sitting with and kibbitzing with the Hess family and Backlash was too funny.

And plugfest, what more can be said.
