And maybe a casting clinic for those of us conventionally challenged?

I'd be interested in that myself
My arm keeps cramping up while I try and thumb the Reel when its facing down...like my spinning gear

I just can't get the smell of burning thumb-flesh outta my nose. This was my first full year with convention casting and the first half wasn't pretty.

Any thoughts on a date for plugfest? I was hoping it wouldn't be the same saturday as last year (being feb 10 2007) as I will be in Florida. But to be honest I would rather be at plugfest here in the cold. I had so much fun at the last one.
That was the first one I attended and I thought it was really well organized and met a great bunch of guys.
I know every date doesn't work for everyone, but just wanted to
throw in my .02.

Rod building will be held at my house in West Wareham.
I have better lighting and more room there.

your cramping muscles is either a magnesium deficiency
or not enough vitamin E

TWIMC,
Hopefully the TFCTFN can be before the weekend of President's Day (Feb 16th to Feb 19th) and after the weekend after it (23rd-24th).
I'm taking the weekdays off to go fishing with Mikey (for big WMass pike), and cant get any time off the weekend before or after.
I really like the weekend of 2/8-9 or the first weekend in March.
If y'all wanna have it without me, so be it...but I figure with Don, Greg and myself staring it, I should get a little leeway.
Oh yes, and if everybody wants one, there could be an Iron Chef Bomba faceoff at this year's shindig.
Lata,
Rick
