Lami Super Surf

No one really talks about the SS anymore it seems, but they were a big hit when they first came out. I fish the 10ft MH 2-6oz as my all around go to rod and I love it. I've never caught any monsters on it, but I've beat a bunch of fish in the 28-30lb range in running current in the canal fairly easily with it. I know bigger fish are a different story though. The ratings are accurate too, I have no problem throwing(or lobbing) a big shad out there. Fairly easy to work a pencil with and will even throw lighter plugs like redfins extremely well. I do however remember Mike P saying he's seen a lot of SSs blow up at the Ditch. I blew one up but it was because I was frantically casting pencils at breaking fish when I hooked my plug and jig bag that I had left on the rock behind me

So do people still like their Super Surfs?
