I finally got around to shooting out to the canyons with the new boat. Although I was hoping to leave Friday, prior commitments left a departure time of 2 pm Saturday. We were 15 miles from Veach and were diverted to Atlantis for a troll which started at 6. There must have been 100 boats on the hotspot and when dusk came I worked away from the fleet for a couple knockdowns. It was great to put a lot of preparation and work to put some meat in the box before dark. Night came and so did the wind. Not good, pulled the plug and ran home at a less than fun speed.120 miles of waves over the T top later we cut up tuna! Tight lines
