I have a ssu1321mh that I built myself with LCSG guides. It will always be a very very special rod to me as BS4SHORE talked me into it and hooked me up on the blank. I put allot of time into this build and this rod absolutely launches. It is so fun to just let it rip. I do find though that it is a bit tough to control. Say I have ten casts, 6 might be the best of my life, 3 just ok and then 1 will be absolutely terrible.

The summer after I made it, I had it out on the Vineyard at Wasque. Bluefish every single cast while others struggled a bit. For me this rod and setup can give me that little bit of extra distance and it is very fun to fish with.

Sometimes I feel weird about fishing it as it is tied to so many memories I have of Bob, but then again he would want it to be fished as hard as it could.
