The big thing I learned this year has to do with fishing rough water. And the reason I learned it was becuase I stopped listening to other people, who told me that it was "too rough" or "not worth it". Had a few nights this year where I would ordinarily have gone home and went back to bed.. One night really sticks out. Got to the spot with F18 there was a guy there I know... he was walking back and said, "I didn't even take a cast... way to rough." Well he was right about the too rough part because after I got on my rock I was forced backwards while my korkers slid like skates across the rocks... the surges went from dry rock to waiste deep white water.. somehow I stayed on my feet

... I changer position and took a cast BANG fish on... next cast another. There were rollers coming in that looked like the beginning of Hawaii 5-0 but the fish were there heavy. Had several fish from 20 to almost 30#... F18 broke off one that had to go much higher. This basically means that I'll be risking my life more often next year
