TDF, don't like the 1088 for eeling anymore? I love mine...and it whupped that 30 fairly easily... maybe I don't know what I"m missing though with a 10 footer...

Oh no I still love my 1088 but it did seem to struggle a little when using some of the larger snakes.

not as versatile and much heavier than the 1201m, but if you want something that will cast just about anything (throws a 5 oz pikie like its nothing), handles medium to large snakes well, and will whip a 45# fish in no time - look at the lami sbh 1213m.
