Thanks, Jigman - see you're from KY.

I got in touch with a friend who lives in Indiana now and he said that there are a few lakes with bass to 30# out there which surprised me. My BIL said the state record was something like 20# - so maybe old Scott has a shot at it. C&R survival rate doesn't surprise me considering the water temp, hadn't considered that.

I've seen some TV shows with FW blitz footage - I want to say it was Lake Powell.

Thanks for the link,too Paul - I sent Scott that link and Bassdozers too along with www.northcarolinasportsman.com but hadn't been to the Arkansas site. The story of the transcontinental bass stocking is amazing, I didn't really know all the details - especially when you consider the 19th century technology.

Great stuff!

Maybe old Scott will join in here with some striper fishing news from the Heartland soon
