Ross:
Pogy boats wiped us out 2 weeks ago. Slow since then although I did find 2 high teen (pounds) Sat morning off Beavertail. Very slow overall.

No boat, back in the suds.

Soco's been decent by boat. Between 5-11 keepers last half dozen trips up to 32lb. 35+ lb fish have eluded us all year, though. Wondering where the real biggies are down there.
Fluke fishing is the best I've seen it in years, too.

I took a new PB smooth dogfish last night.
My spiny dogfish record still stands though.
Sorry, no pics.

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

Yeah, I heard a call on Ch 16 yesterday about a pair of red distress markers seen on board a sportfisherman entering the harbor -
Turns out it was 2 Irish guys who had been out in the blistering sun all day chasing tuna...
Word travels fast on D dock, Bry - thumbs up to you and the Toginator...

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
