I bought a rubbermaid container at Wal Mart last night. Just the right dimensions for the "freezer" compartment I have in the garage. Smell is not present as of this morning... which is a "so far so good" thing.

These other suggestions are going to be great for when I have more freezer space one day

One way to NOT store riggies is in the bottom of your surf bag, under a couple of prized needles, and hung on your porch in the middle of a heatwave.
