MY teeny sea robin, I know, not a striper, was about 3.5" and was caught on a 27 diamond jig, using an 11 foot Ugly stick, Penn 7500 reel, with 40 lb test mono, and a 60 lb leader. I barely got it in. My smallest striper was way bigger than the dinks you guys caught.

The sun shines on a dog's ass every once in a while, maybe today is my day!

New leader

Niko has taken over as the Numbskull division leader with a 13" fish...

The saga continues...

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole

just isn't fair as all the fish I have seen the past few days are too darn big. Heck the sea herring are 13". Maybe I need to bring a magic marker and stripe a sea herring.

From the 12th......... the am it snowed. Put a real effort in first for zilch, then hit an estuary with light tackle for this 24" fish. Great green color. Not sure it counts for a late fish but whatever. Probably I'm done.

Caught a handful of bass to 14 pounds in SoCo over the weekend. Still a lot of small fish to be had in RI & CT but none quite small enough to regain the Numbskull award spot and none anywhere near big enough to knock out JLH from the big fish spot. Either way, I am happy to just still be catching and there is always tonight!

I found the mother load of 14- to 15-inch bass last night but despite my best efforts I was unsuccessful in knocking Niko out of the Numbskull spot. November 22nd and I saw more bait along the oceanfront than I have seen all year.

Leaves all day. You fishing in a pond now? I'll bet the dog was disappointed in one that size.

Yesterday's was on an old mambo minnow, today's on a small youzri I found washed up. I also got one on a small Bod Pond atom (which is a cool little plug). All plastic, as I've not built anything this small........yet.

Even though it's over, it's not quite over yet. Landed six bass to 30 inches last night "out front" in the salt. Had pretty solid action until the wind switched and kicked up to 20-plus MPH and shut it down.

Nice one Numby! I believe I saw you a few days ago at an undisclosed fesh pond with your golden, and another buddy. I was the turkey in the white car on the boat ramp trying to gain some feeling in my toes. Only managed one bow before I froze, hope you guys did better than me. happy holidays. And congrats to all the winners here btw!

something clever and related to fishing
