Had to travel a bit to find them, but I'm sure glad the funny fish are still around in good numbers and in close thanks to the those south winds. So awesome just watching those green bastards ravage bait en masse. Did not see the bones today, tho.

There were some real nice bass mixed in where I was. It's odd to me that I didn't care all that much to bother with them???

Now, how do I get back there tomorrow without incurring the wrath and punishment of others!?!

Went to MV with my friend Bill(ctsurfrat)....The fishing for us was
slow and we really didn't see much bait or activity. The most feeding
we witnessed was 4 drives a dozen albies made around a jetty.
Lucky for me I landed one. My first.

the meat stick with the 30# leader....it was the lightest leader I had.

It was a pretty cool chain of events. We stopped into #^&#^&#^&#^&'s Bait &
Tackle in Oak Bluffs, and Doug tells us to go to X for albies.

Hahaha...well this is the first time I have ever had someone from a
tackle shop give such solid info. It was so solid, that even Doug
himself shows up at the spot to fish the next morning. Then after I
hook up, he drops his rod and helps me land the sucker. Note, he has
only landed one albie himself this year and he drops his gear while the
fish are blasting through...to help me. Awesome!

I have only attempted to target these fish a few hours over the last
couple years. I totally lucked out and Mr. Magoo-ed the sucker onto
the end of my line. My only regret was to have caught him on such
heavy setup. I had my steelhead rod out on the trip, but never
unpacked it.
