I only did some test casting with the 1327. The biggest lure I threw was a 3 oz pencil which loaded without effort. If I would guess...I would think 4 oz would not be a problem.

Hopefully someone who has fished one of these rods for a season can chime in.

It would be best to test drive one for yourself...as what I find acceptable/desireable might not be up your alley.

I can say that if I were to roach out my cts...I would replace it with a 1327 without even thinking twice. As much as I like the vaportrail...there is something I really liked about fsc maurader rods.

Thank you all so much for taking the time to respond to this thread. I ended up pulling the trigger on a 1327 thanks to Joebaggs, my fellow countryman. Made me an offer I couldn't resist...

This rod is an absolute joy to throw. Super sensitive yet powerful. Like others have said, will launch anything from an SP to a 3.5oz pencil. Works a darter like a dream. And it's an absolute beast of a rod.

So far so good!
