A screenshot provided by vessel-tracking service MarineTraffic shows the route of the container ship.... this does not look accidental to me....

There have been many speculations (including a really bad one in AmericanThinker) but we don't know the facts. The "likely" collision occurred when the merchant made its first sharp port turn - according to people smarter than me.

I read that the turn was after they struck - it looks like it then came back.

And you will eventually see that that is because the MV did not report it. Times are messed up by an hour.
