Just don't forget it has to be recent time.......within the last 5 years......
And yes, if you don't work on the water it is not easy to do in New England. 365 sea days in 5 years when a season is 5-6 months a year and if you have a regular job..........yeah this leads to fuzzy math.
As Niko said BID in plymouth is good and fills out the paperwork all the time. You CAN do it at your reg doctor.......I just did mine at my regular but mine being just renewal and not original license is a bit less to do. You really need to be on top of them to make sure they don't miss anything. So BID is a better choice. Trust me, I've taken more CG physicals and drug tests that I can count in the last 30 years at sea.
Be certain your BP is less than 140/90 and if your BMi is < 40 then you'll have to do the fat man test. They call it a physical ability test. BID can do this too. These are red flags that will get kicked back at the CG HQ is Martinsville WV.
