Quite comical coming from a guy who doesn’t care if his leaders even have morals, only that they’re billionaires or close.

Why did you leave out the part where he asked people to "be moral"?
Maybe he's not a moral authority, but he's not the national armorer either. So if you don't take him seriously when he says "be moral", why do you take him literally when he said to be armed?
