Very important to get them on ice ASAP in warm weather, as they can get soft and mushy, but at this time of the year, obviously it's not an issue.

They fight better than a cod, and they can often be caught feeding on top, too. You can have a lot of fun with teen sized pollock on surface lures.

The smaller ones are very tasty. Pan fried ‘em in butter, about as good as brook or rainbow trout.
