Damn, Ray. Don't say that.... I prefer to think of it as; it takes less time or outings on the water to scratch that itch....
Wish I knew then what I know now....

It's strange. I have been boatless since 2014. 10 years and all of a sudden I have the urge to buy a boat again.
|
No boat, back in the suds.

Same urge hit me a while back, glad I did. Easier to hit the water with less wear and tear on the old body. This am we caught keeper fluke and sea bass. As well as a lot of stripers up to slot sized on light plugging and flyrods - all within 1-2 miles of one another.

Great day off some deeper structure within sight of Cutty, two easy limits of nice sea bass and a good number of fluke, we each took one home pushing 22”. Not often you get a light breeze day with cloud cover so your not baking.

Blasted down the river into a thick fog, couldn't see a dang thing, but kept slowly pushing forward thanx to the Garmin, hit spot X all was clear.... sun only peeked out for about 10 minutes, the cloud cover made all the difference - very comfortable out there
Bones exploding on whatever you threw, not finickee at all...my ride-along was able to tick another species off his bucket list, ....ramps were insane though, combination of aquapalooza and jazz festival I guess
