Clamdigger whats a pogie some kind of extinct fish oh wait I think I saw some once years and years ago. Your right it was on a pogie and Im still proud of it the largest on a plug was 42# that was on Cuttyhunk down the west end when I was just 15 in 1969. John a trip to the island for a weekend of surf/boat fishing sounds good to me.I have the boat and the house you guys will need to bring the food and a BIG!!!! net to help me release my fish. Ooops...nevermind.
I was paying too much attention to work and not the website - ahhhh, work interferes with fun too much anyway.
But hey, that's a pretty serious threat - even for Fish_Eye!
BTW, I spoke to the Iron One last nite - the club meeting is next Thursday and a bunch of the guys are gonna bring old plugs as Dennis asked for a show and tell, so the Sheik is gonna bring some of his.
This is gonna be something, they better have security at the doors, is all I can say. You better start digging, Tattoo. This could be another plug war.
I'll send ya the newsletter via PM.

OLD PLUGS?
I have not had time yet to look for them but guess what you did on nashuena island if you where not fishing or milking cows? Thats right walking the shore and piking up plugs and thats what my uncle did for 42 years. The last time I was there we had 5-6 bushel baskets of plugs in the cellar and plugs hung all the way around the house out on the porch. Could be some good ones there.

John - (And anyone else who may be interested)
The meeting Thursday nite I was talking about was The Newport County Saltwater Fishing Club meeting - it's at 7 PM at the Newport Yacht Club on Long Wharf in Newport.
DZ is club president, we have 80-90 members and a good speaker schedule coming up - if any of you are interested in the club or would like to come to hear one of our speakers, or see some of the collectible plugs Thursday you're more than welcome!
Tattoo is gonna be our newest recruit - he may have an old plug or two to bring - if Iron Mike brings even part of his collection it could be real interesting -

old plugs and old fishermen!
Clamdigger sorry I got you all worked up but no this is not a set up. If you look at the picture bellow you can see that my uncle also collected clamshells and made mosaics from them back in the early 60s. Sorry but if you look you will also see a few plugs hanging on the wall behind the bass. I was only on the island for a hour or so the day I took these pic. so I did not have time to go in the cellar to look for the baskets.

Okay, GB, we believe ya now - see ya at the show.
I was afraid in your next post you were gonna tell us you were really a girl and looked just like Pamela Anderson - - then we woulda been suspicious.
That's a real nice mosaic your uncle did -
