SAILBOATS RULE

They suck to fish from, but I have caught big stripers trolling the race on my way back from longisland and large mahi off block. My good buddy caught a 145 lb bluefin delivering from Newpt -> St. Thomas last fall.

Sailboat racing is a major rush.

I can't wait til I have enough money to get a sailboat.

You'd be amazed what a decent fisherman can catch off the back of a sailboat.

They are actually a very good platform to troll from. Maybe not to fight or land a fish from, but the fish seem to like them.

I sell a lot of trolling gear to sailors leaving Newport for winter every year, they definitely catch fish.

Who sails, all I see are long skinny boats with 9.9's buzzing around, assuming they've got the right of way because they're a sailboat.

I've caught plenty of nice fish off a blowboat, when that was my only ride down in Rio.
