That spot is about 5 minutes from my house. Supposed to open April 1st but it still has a ton of ice.
I think (not positive) that the man fishing with the OTW crew was Bob Sampson who writes for the magazine. He has had a few articles on holdover fishing on the Thames. He also writes for the Insider stories section.

Anyone know if they ever do shows on shore fishing? Everytime I catch it it's always boat fishing. To be honest, that kinda gets boring after awhile.

That show they got off the boats and fished the docks. The rest of the show they were shore fishing from Wachusett. They also say they will be covering the MV derby from shore.

Itsa good show for sure. I caught some of it while they were fly fishing for bluefin tuna. Watching a tuna blitz was pretty sweet! The one thing that annoys me about the show though....The gay music they have in the backround alot. Sounds like some lame ass rock/ porn music. Ditch the stupid tunes and the show will be a million times better

North East Angling did a show on surfcasting last week. They walked the NJ shore for blues and small stripers. Nothing special but it was different.

Skip you must of been in my livingroom because I said the samne thing. At least turn that crap down. The blitz was so insane I would of liked to of just listened to the fish crashing through the water. Good show tonight though. I was surprised that GBFT weighed 490 pounds. I guess I not be a good candidate to work the weight guessing booth at the circus.

I agree, overall a good program. I also agree, way too much loud “music”. Last nights giant tuna spot was interesting but the ear insulting “music” spoiled it. More talk mentioning details and what is going on would be much better. I’m glad to see others think the same.
But…any fishing show is better than no fishing show.
