the Cal-Kay one really interests me- beleive it or not i was showing one of the girls that works for me the stuff and she pointed at the box and said "hey thats my house!" needless to say, i asked her to scrounge the attic.
Ya know.. I didnt see any pics of Cal-Kay plugs in the 'some plugs' thread. does that mean something 
Surfsters- can you tell me anything else about Bernie Calitri ??
The point jude is absolutely mint... the creek chubs got some small cracks on the belly and the masterlure is trashed....... |

looks like a Bernie Myers plug to me, Adam will know for sure 
Maybe Bernie Calitri moved to NY and hitched up with Mr Myers.lol

Eben........That Flaptail { Bernie Calitri } is the correct bait for the box.......Also that Pt. Jude { Surf Slapper } is the correct bait for the box, "Very Nice Combo".........Calitri was a well known striped bass fishermen in the 1940's, as was Jerry Sylvester, Ray Tucker, etc....as far as I know Bernie endorsed Striper-Experts { early Pt. Jude } and Pt. Jude Lures as a field tester. Don't take this as gospel... But, I also believe he may have worked for Pt. Jude manufacturing and painting lures. He then left at some point and then started Cal-Kay................
