Other than private land with written or verbal access, there are no "secret spots".

Anyone with half a brain and a map or chart can find where to fish.
All that matters is if and when the fish are there.

Been fishing a long time, never said or was told about spot burning until the internet, this site and a few others. I have fun teaching people and takeing friends fishing. Sometimes we catch other times zippo. One place is as good as any I tell people,Just get out and dunk an eel
I think people take this way 2 far . my 2 cents

I have literally taken a pledge about spots I have been brought to. It is definatley a game of respect. I would ask if they minded if I went alone, but I would never burn a spot I was taken to by bringing a friend or whatever. Things need to be earned IMHO... It is all about Respect....

Used hard and put away dirty....
