If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Believe it or not, I just got over 22 mpg on my trip home from the Cape on Sunday with my 2002---and that included some local running around yesterday before I gassed up
Normally, I do 20, maybe 21 on a trip, 19-20 on "NY style" highway, and 17 or so with a mix of driving. Maybe 16 with 15-20 miles of the beach thrown in.
4 liter straight 6 with automatic O/D.

Just bought a 98 Tacoma to replace my 90 corolla (that got 30MPG)...not good timing for this I might add,,,,,
I did one check so far and was getting 21mpg (around town)....seems as though the second tank of gas is going less quickly (its a standard and its been awhile if you know what I mean) I think as my Manual shifting skills get better so is the gas mileage!!!! Is this feasible???

ford f350 dump (gas) 460 engine carburated 8-10 mpg if I'm lucky!!!
ford f350 dump (gas) 460 engine injected 9-10 mpg
full size Chevy blazer 350 throttle body 9-10 mpg
f8000 (BIG) dump !!! Cat 3208 not sure on the mpg, but will idle on very little diesel all day and night!!!
2003 parker with 250 Yamaha 4stroke about 7-8 gph!
Wifes mini van, about 19-21 mpg
I just sold my Toyota 4cyl 4wheel drive pick up that drove about a week and a half on a tank full of gas
I'm looking for a newer Toyota now, maybe a 4runner

04 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 Quad Cab LWB with 6spd Cummins, 35" tires, 4" lift, exhaust, AFE intake, blah, blah, blah
My average since new over 41,308 miles is 17.36 mpg (I keep a spreadsheet) . This average includes everything from traffic, some heavy towing, city, highway, warm ups, etc. However, on open highway running 75mph I get 21+ mpg. Stopping and starting a 8k lb truck around town REALLY kills my overall mileage.
EDIT: As a side note, check out what the IRS is doing for Diesel owners. You'd think to be fair they would do the same for gasoline running vehicles but nooo!
