Good for Theo. He might probably come back someday, when he's old and in his forties

But I am disapointed he did not sign....

Where does he think he's gonna get a job? Aren't all the GM spots locked up now? Maybe he'll go to AZ and be Josh Byrne's Asst GM!

There's open GM positions in L.A. , Philly, and Tampa Bay. He'll land on his feet.

Stupid move by Sox management letting him get a way. It was nothing to do w/ the money...he just wanted to do his job the way every other GM does it (with the exception of Cashman )

3 Post-season Appearances, including one World Series in 3 years....I guess that just isn't good enough

Yeah.. I read that in the paper this morning. I heard on WEEI that Theo might just take some time off, but I suspect that LA would be a likely fit. I think we can throw Tampa right out of the equation. Pinella resigned as manager due to ownerships reneging on a promise of a bigger payroll. Philly has some good young talent and was in wild card contention to the end.
For me, it's all about which 9 guys put on the uniform and play the game every day. Last Xmas, the missus got me an authentic World Series edition home jersey. It has no number on the back. At first I was dissapointed; I was kinda hoping for #34. But now, I'm glad it has no number. For me, it's all about the name on the FRONT. With free angency, ceratainly players come and go. We see different GMs from time to time, and even ownership can change. It's unlikely that the name on the front of the jersey will ever change.

Luchino should stick to his own job.insted of micro managing the baseball people.
One thing for sure is the next GM will be a puppet for Luchino.

Yup I take back my earlier comment about Theo and it being all about money. Now that the facts are starting to filter out to the puplic it was def a control issue. Theo didnt want Luccino looking over his shoulder all the time.
