I have seen as much as an older Merc 40HP 2 stroke on a 13 foot Whaler, but MTC said he had an 11 footer, which I am not picturing right now.

a 35 on an 11 foot whaler Joe?
I find that hard to believe, maybe you meant it was on a 13'???
A 35 on an 11' that boat doesn't have enough freeboard to hold it.

I have a 9.9 on my 11 ft. garvey with a 5' beam and the thing flies, does 20 mph and I pull a kid on a tube with it. It almost dangerous by myself in it, I definately use a lanyard.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
