These particular jigs have the hook on the end of about 2 inches of stainless airplane cable. very difficult to create a fulcrum with the wire like it is , its easier for the fish to bend the hook when the hook is embedded into the jig.


Its not the drag limit I worry about with a spinner. Its line wear. Also on the BG you can use spectron which is tougher and more wear resistant than anything I know of. You can't use spectron on a spinner. It just doesn't work. 65 pound whiolash is good line but its not spectron.


I agree with Chris. Slipknot has tree trunk arms. His little finger is bigger than my thumb. He's just too damned strong if he can bend a 7/0 Mustad!
