I've found my pencils, polaris poppers and 1.5 Oz. dannies to be fine(all bought within the last 3 years). I wouldn't touch the an of the 2+ Oz. dannies or any of the diving swimmers. I would check out the Bait Shack in Orleans. Last time I was there they had some pogie, mackeral, and herring pencil popppers. They also had some Gibbs plugs with older looking labels. I have not been in the game that long so I don't know when the quality started to go down hill.
If you're looking for mackeral I would try out some of the new gag's plugs. plenty of mackeral there. Just don't buy the flippin' mullet
