If you ever have the chance to float along the Elizabeths and cast into the rocks as I do there are tell tale signs all over. Holes in rocks mostly very little physical remains otherwise. Pasque especially is pockmarked with them. I have a friend who has a copy of the map of the island showing all the satnds there and they surrounded Pasque. Most locations are still viable places to cast a plug into to this day.

I remember when I lived in Worcester going many times to Beavertail on Jamestown and there were pipes all over the place drilled into the ledges. I have pics of some but will have to take pictures of the pictures with my digital camera. The east side had a few and that is where we did best. I haven't been there in 25 years now so I have no idea if they are there still though.

Why even try.........

Most of the stands from days gone by were built out of convenience.Fish in the footprint if you want but lets face it,unless you have a chummer bringing in the bass most likely you're bumming.Definitely nostalgic but todays fishermen, given our modern amenities like waders and korkers are finding SPOTS that our yesteryear brethren could only dream of.There aren't too many spots the stands once were that would be my first choice on a given night.Early June culd be gravy time for plugging some of these not so secret SPOTS.

I got a better idea, let's build a bass stand

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I love rusty old pipes sticking out of rocks. Better yet I like standing on them in the middle of the night.

On one of my trips to RI I was fishing, walking, exporing, along this shore maybe bout 3/4 of a mile when i came upon this nice perch to cast from.I made a few cast's when i noticed some old pipes sticking out of the rocks.Guess I picked a decent spot to fish from.At first I was like coool.then for some reason It freaked me out.an I got out of there.
