I say the backcountry is no better or worse than big game. Actually tried knot strength test pulls(snelled to a hook), and the big game breaks at a higher strength 4 out of 5 times. I know a couple guys here like it and have hyped it a bit, but the difference is negligible to me. I've used big game since they started making the stuff in the mid to late 80's and have never had a bad thing to say about it, or an unexpected failure. People like to switch tackle alot and trick themselves into believing there are qualities that don't exist. I think this is one of those cases. Having said that, I like the backcountry alot, but don't see an advantage to using it over big game.

I have to admit.I got caught up in the hype. I had a fish break me off on the BC 20 lb sat night.I really don't think it is as abraision resistant as the big game.I gave it a try.One of these days i will learn to dance wit the one i brung.Yes I am guilty of the sheeple principle.Live an learn.

FORE!
It's usually darkest just before it turns Black..
