my daughter just came in and said there was a skunk in the front bushes and the other night she saw 4 in the yard!!!! I'm gonna come home from fishing late nite and get sprayed!! I have to take care of this before things get smelly

SKD maybe you have chipmunks...I had/have a family living in my garage....Do chipmunks cause any damage??

Dunno how fox urine would work. I know bobcat urine works on raccoons.

I've fished within 10 feet of skunks and have never been sprayed. I shine my light on them to let them know I'm there, and don't make any sudden moves towards them. They only spray as a defensive measure. Just act normally and don't alarm them, and they'll leave you alone.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools, because they have to say something.

Matt, I used to get them all the time, even in the day, a whole family of them.

You wanna borrow my pellet gun?

Off topic discussion:

I agree. They're confident little bastards. I've had to be fairly agressive before I've seen any defensive posturing with skunks. Generally they freeze, take a look at you, and carry on with whatever they're up to.
