Is that rod slightly heavier (in action) than the new 1205
The only shop that has any right now is CMS. Mike's been waiting since last November for his order.

It's a totally different rod than the 1205. Very parabolic. The best way I can describe it is, it's a lighter, crisper-actioned 121 3M.

Don't be misled by the 4-6 oz rating. I can cast 2 oz on it without much trouble at all. And it will do 6.

I love Parobolic. But my honey rod has been getting dusty.I picked up a 1205 an couldn't really feel much differencne from my gsb120 1M.I would like to try a the arra wit the different number. i thought they stopped makin em.I absolutely love the xra 1322.Has that nice parabolic bend u mentioned. But cast's much better than the glass.Lami is the worst on lure ratings thats why they get so many rods back broken. If i casted 5 onces wit my gsb 10 fter for a week it would be in 2 pcs in 3 days.

FORE!
It's usually darkest just before it turns Black..

nib, lami no longer lists the xra1261mh in their 2006 blank catalog. it may be discontinued or only special order/limited runs.

xra1205 is a little faster in action than the gsb1201m. they both have about the same power/lure range. the xra1322 is closer to action than the 1201m.

almost all of the gsb-surf serries blanks are incorrectly labeled; typically too high on the line/lure/power range.

I spoke to Charlie from CMS at the MSBA show. He told me that it's a minimum 10 blank order. The blank has limited appeal---Canal guys, mostly. Which is a shame, because it's a much more versatile rod. It is mis-rated as a 4-6 oz blank. 2-6 is really more like it. It's an excellent rod for big wooden swimmers. Pops a Polaris better than the 1322. Light sinker and bait, chunking Canal-style, even big snakes, it's capable of doing all that. Like I said, it's a graphite 121 3M, at least to me. Probably the most parabolic of all of the Arra rods. Bends almost to the seat when you lean into a good fish.
