Hey Zacs, the cap is really THE BIG project.
The forward 1/3 is cored with ply and is pretty rigid. I will need to core the rear 2/3 of the cap and at the same time incorporate an 8" lip that drops down. Supports will need to be put under the cap, btwn the lip and hull for strength.
The transom section of the cap, I'd like to integrate the original insulated boxes. Ill cut them out of the old transom cap(you can see it in the picture gallery) and add them to either side of the future motor well. Theyll be full height in the transom, so there should be access space underneath(above floor height) for hatches
