That sounds hard. Especially hard to make it look good in the end. Are you going to make a mold for the new cap lip and supports? I agree about keeping the old boxes.

did you say already what kind of bracket you are getting?

No mold, it would probly be to difficult. Ill just core ply w/ glass. Adding the lip is simple in principle, but I sure will be hard to fair out nicely. I got time to work out the details
Decided to notch the transom, save some $$ not going with the bracket or dealing the weight/balance issues

gotcha. I see now after reading you post a few before that you just said that. i've got to read more closely. Looking forward to more progress.

yeah, we left it up as lawn art, opened up the valve covers and filled it w/ bird seed.
