I grew up absolutely loving hockey. Played the sport from 5 years old to early 30's. Boston was a hockey town first and foremost when I was a kid. The original 6. My idol was #4 and was a young teen during the Big Bad Bruins. I never missed a game for many years. I yern for that style of hockey but it has changed to something that just bores me to tears and will never go back so they have lost me forever. I can't say I have watched a whole hockey game in a decade or more, only the olympic's or an occasional frozen four. Really too bad to see the Bruins struggle to be a legit team. If it wasn't for the dedicated hockey fan base here hockey would have hit the highway a long time ago here. Unfortuntly Jacobs knows that and only spends what he has too to fill the seats. Like stated before it is a buisness now not a sport like it was years ago. Who the hell really cares what I think.

Going into the season, the biggest question mark was the goaltending, and it is quite obvious why. Thomas is all over the ice, out of position, i dont know why they signed him to a 3 year deal, at the beginning of this year. On the other hand, the 3rd period last night, against the Capitols, was the most exciting hockey i have seen the B's play in 5 years. They played with desperation, in the third period, and played very well. They need to play like that, the whole game.

O'connell signed him before he was canned. terrible. he must have been swimming in gin & tonic with all the stupid things he did.

Goaltending and defense were 2 big glarring holes to be filled and they did basically nothing. Paul Mara?????? Give me a break! Bruins and the organization have a lot of work to do before I get excited about them. It's really sad, it's so hard to watch them. I wish they put more college hockey on the tube. Go Friars!

Still worried about the goaltending?
11/28/06
Between blocked shots & missed shots & 45 saves(should have been 46) 72 total
Bullsh*t-kicked in goal.
Thomas was awesome last night.
Stood on his head.
When was the last time you heard that?
Toivenen as a backup?
Great goalie for a few games.
Just can't stay healthy. Look at his ankle and it breaks.
They have a prospect goalie they sent way down that is supposed to be the best in the world.
Forget the name.
QMJHL?

those were exciting games to watch , you just never knew what was going to happen next. but now........a guy gets high sticked and he checks for blood. F the powerplay take him out.

the ref's need to let them hit..they call too much.
