I know that the best chances at large are by going at night but not always, lots of times the bass blitz during the day also.
Anybody???

The "10 Commandments" are not actually 10, and are just my BASIC tenents to finding larger fish. Its what should have been pounded into all our heads a millions times by now.
Every year I learn a little more and become a little better. I've been lucky to have alot of really good fishermen pass along alot of great info. Its whats repated to us over and over.
My Commandments for big fishing:
1. Fish at night
2. Fish the bottom
3. Fish eels
4. Fish big fish spots
5. Fish big fish gear
6. Fish the rule, not the exception
7. Keep your mouth shut
8. Structure; current

rules? we don't need no stinkin rules...
but...
zip lips, open eyes, and mind.
fish when ya can, and where ya can.
(if it's dusk to dawn, all the better)
fish the whole water column... and..
don't be stuck in a rut.. change it up.
leave the camera home
...most important...relax... lifes to %*%*in' short!
works for me.
too many rules in every other aspect of life.. why eff up fishing with them? WTF

1. You are never as good as you think
2. Fish are often where they weren't
3. You don't always need bait
4. Keep your priorities straight
5. Tie good knots
6. Sharpen your hooks
7. Test your drag
8. Step slowly
9. Fish when you can
10. Make friends
The rest will take care of itself. Amen.

Please expound (is that a word) on this? Do you really find the bottom that much more effective at night than say a danny at night?
Thanks

While not a hard fast 100% rule it is understood that the bigger fish are on the bottom and that if those fish are on the bottom and you put your offering up higher that smaller and more nimble fish will get to your offering than the bigger fish below.
