Nice story Steve. I especially enjoyed the line "this must have seemed much better a proposition than spending all his time in a machine shop". The guy knew what he was talking about What is it with striper fishing and machinist's there has been quite a few greats that called it their trade. I bet a lot has to do with being cooped up inside all day that you really excel at anything outdoors when you get the opportunity. As always though there are exceptions to the rules and I will keep my day job.

Yes - it was very good....right up there with the best work that has been done....
That's not easy - you don't bang that out in a few hours.

Steve, I am glad you were able to talk with #^&#^&#^&#^& Samms.
Who better to talk to, than Arnold's good friend?

Look forward to reading it, stopped by Booksmith here in town, but all they had was a stack of December 06.
Maybe somebody could bring a copy to plugfest, I could read?

A picture of Arnold and #^&#^&#^&#^&... circa mid fifties.

Awesome picture Karl!
those pants look warm

I miss the beach, can't wait to get back out there

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Great read

Seeing those pics brought back some great memories of being out on the beach with my Dad and uncle back in the early 60's bouncing across the beach in an old willy jeep pickup. Monster rods, penn squiders and Cuttyhunk linen line. Man do I feel old now. Great story, keep them coming.
