Fishing & Marriage

I have been married twenty eight years as a preface of what I am about to relate. The first six years of marriage my wife let me fish the derby five times, and so did she. In the spring of 1985 over coffee one morning in a local eatery she said she didn't want to go back to the vineyard for vacation (during the derby or any other time). I thought my world ended. I didn't say anything for a few minutes, neither did Bev. Out of the blue she blurts thier is no reason why you can't go though. The roses bloomed, the grass turned green at that moment, and all was well when she said I could still go and have to this day. We still vacation somewhere else, but she still lets me go with Squid Kids Dad, my brother. Many years it was a dirt poor trip living out of my 3/4 chevy van, and cleaning up at a friends house, and then staying with another frind, but it was well worth it. There isn't a friekin out house on the island that I don't know its whereabouts. I put them on my GPS (ha ha).
