karl, those look really nice and clean. I bought paint last weekend for some top water I'm working on. Red, Yellow, and white. You can't argue with what works.

the two plain white.. NIB posted once that he didn't think any of us could do just white, no eyes, and leave it alone.. so I had to do it... I like 'em.. but.. I know NIB.. he will say.. the pencil isn't a flat bottom.. the danny needs two belly hooks... well..NIB knows what he likes
BBJ.. I doubt you did anything poorer ..
tell ya the truth.. and Flap, the Senior Angler, and Jake will know what I mean.. (others too, right Slip?).. I was also kinda think early early AM.. at a beach that BBJ and the Senior one frequent.. what was most effective there in the last coupla years?...
Tagger.. these are AYC.. weigh an ounce and a half without hooks.
Beech.. yeah, I bet that would make a pissah Canal Special.

I find it hard to keep it simple, just too easy to get caught up in the glammor, not so much with topwater, poppers (I dont make many anyways) but even Danny's, goo-goo's and Conrads, seems like I always have to mess with them add colors , scales etc. I admire that you are able to keep it simple... I've probably caught more big bass on a plain light blue danny than any other plug, no eyes no B.S., but still i screw with them.. Nice example you've set, I've got some going into the epoxy tonight(all duded up) and a bunch more to be painted, I'm going to try and follow your lead!...K. I. S. S... Thanks for the inspiration! and having the corage to be "first"
