I know what you mean about landing your own fish. I don't need no one to run down into the surf or down into the rocks to hit or grab my fish. They get severely scorned if they do that. Years ago my buddy was washing up a big bass when a guy came out of no where and grabbed the line and started pulling, my buddy yelled at the top of his lungs...of course the great fish came off...and I remeber to this day my buddy dropping his rod in the sand and chasing the guy down the beach with his waders on. It was prolly the first time I pissed my waders.
