Funny to see this thread...This has been an on going joke for about 7 years with a buddy of mine. He bought a "Striper Spinnerbait" back in 2000 or so. The first season he threw that thing to no avail. After that it kinda sat in the tackle bag for a season. Since then the only time he brings it out is when we are in an all out frenzy and stripers can be caught on anything. This is when we try every gadget that we have ever purchased that has had no previous success. I remeber one day on the Susky Flats when we were catching a fish on every cast. He tied that thing on and could not buy a strike. I would even throw a walking bait with no hooks, get a striper to follow it , and then let him throw right in front of the spook. Still nothing. The thing is like striper kryptonite or something.

I would'nt bother, there are so many baits that work well already..
