Don't know if he wrastled "The Haystack" or not Rav, but he did fight before the phony stuff staretd in the 50s.
Two thousand fights during that time frame was alot of ring time.
What cracked me up was the expressions used in the obit like:
....appeared to be standing in a ditch, .... stood his ground in the ring like a fireplug,..... the wrestler ups and boots his opponent with the soles of his feet ... his signature move... from watching kangaroos fight ....
those expressions had to be reported by a guy as old as him.
