Never tried it myself, but I believe Tony Stetzko caught Bertha on a teaser in front of an eel.

My only concern is getting hung up on a rockpile because an eel runs deep where many plugs run higher in the water.

I've done it when switching from a plug to an eel just for goofs. Rig it the same as w/a plug. Not worth it if you ask me, since the eel is down low, you hang up more w/the teaser.

Depending on how you fish teasers could pose a problem. It all happens on the "take" or "strike". If the fish hits the teaser I want to set right away, if it hits the eel I set after I drop. Either way you may miss some fish depending on what they hit. That's why I don't use them with live eels.

...imho...

less teaser leader with the eel for the obvious reason- also most people underestimate the importance of a longer leader when fishing teasers- see Daigneault- you don't want the bass brushing the bottom bait when it tries for the top...

see ya,

Not necessarily true. You can make the teaser weedless by tying in a mono loop as part of your tying process, if you tie your own You can also wrap the shank with lead to affect the sink rate of your teasers.

Domination takes full concentration..
