Rainshadow 1209

I have the rainshadow SU 1209 spinning (actually a xmas gift from my lovely wife) and use it only for jigging. Very interesting that it would serve better as spinning, I guess I can understand that but it would take a breakaway cannon or a serious callous to load it without ripping through your index finger. It is a MEAT stick. Not nearly as parabolic as some may like but can effortlessly throw 5 or 6, also doesn't skip a beat when putting the screws to a fish in the current. I am definitely new to the Canal and for the first time this year I don't feel undergunned as opposed to times before. Plugging I use the 1205 and or a 10 ft Ben D - I like them both, but recently got the 1205 and its growing on me.

I thought thread asked for meat stick .. 1322 xra chunker ? waste of talent . 1209 ? 1205 ? no way .. When i think meat, I think glass . 1213m cut down to 9' 2" worked for me .. Slow and parabolic IMHO.. you don't want the speedy recovery of a graphite rod .. you'll be flinging chunks everywhere.. If its for the ditch keep it short too ... A long rod, with that stone bank behind you in most areas,, can be a hinderance .
